Azgroups at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts
A bunch of people from work went to a sponsored developer conference hosted by AZgroups.com at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts.
Scott Guthrie gave a presentation on Silverlight and his experience giving presentations showed.
Another presenter spoke on Microsoft Expression Encoder. It was hard to understand him. He would be talking normally and then he would say something really fast. So you were like, “wait.. what did you say?”. The presentation also didn’t have much to do with Silverlight and Jeff seemed like he was going to fall asleep. I thought that some of the details mentioned about video and audio encoding techniques were interesting.
Then there was this other presentator… He was actually a sponser for Kentico CMS. We were just making fun of him so bad because he wasn’t excited about the product he was pitching. So he was like, “Yea.. this feature is kinda nice to have.” And he just seemed like he didn’t care.
Lunch was free and it tasted free. They gave away prizes (which is common place at conferences), but I didn’t win anything. Eric won a license for some product or something.
